Benefits of a Beauty Wardrobe
Everyday each of us goes about our daily lives as women, mothers, colleagues, friends, daughters and whatever other of the many roles we are responsible for towards others. Demands can be high, expectations out of this world, and results not always pretty.
While much of it is rewarding, it's also challenging and oftentimes exhausting.
So we make ourselves feel better in any way we can, from whatever it is we enjoy - whether it be physical activity, delicious food, a fun hobby, or a special ritual. Often times one of the areas critically overlooked is our appearance.
We think 'I don't have time for this', or 'I'm not that concerned with my outer appearance', or my personal favorite 'I don't want to seem vain'.
To this especially I ask, would it seem vain to want to get your body into shape for better health? Or to enlighten your mind by reading enriching material? Or taking time and money out of your daily obligations to make your home more beautiful?
Of course not, at least not to those who matter; because generally speaking taking time to better yourself in one way or another is seen as a positive endeavor and therefore looked upon with admiration.
The same should be for beauty. Having a beauty wardrobe full of products that are ideally suited to your skin, and using them ritually during your day and evening grooming routine, can have an enormously positive effect on your personal well-being, and in the long run, your life.
When you give yourself the gift of a little extra pampering, your spirits can be magically lifted. That energy and attitude transcends into others aspects of your life, such as your relationships with your children, spouse, friends and colleagues, even strangers.
And it doesn't take more that 15-20 minutes twice a day to get this little boost in happiness.
So why is it that this is the area of our daily routine that we're generally most likely to skip or give up? Many women may feel like they are being too selfish to spend too much time on themselves in this manner, and to that I say forget it. Because in the end, the little extra time you spend taking care of the largest organ of your entire body (skin!) will reap huge rewards.
In fact, the people who love you most in your life will begin to appreciate it.
My son's regular response to me every morning is proof of that: 'Mommy, you look so pretty; and I love your dress'.
